New Research Highlights Impact of AI in Automotive

AI in the automotive industry is no longer a trend. Dealerships are experiencing gains across their operations thanks to technologies including AI, machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP). With 68% of dealerships reporting that AI has positively impacted their operations, it’s no wonder dealers are seeing success and improvements across their stores.

CDK surveyed nearly 250 North American executives and department heads of automotive dealerships to understand how all things AI are perceived in the auto retail industry and how their outlooks have changed since our 2023 AI survey.

Our AI in Automotive: Insights and Innovations study reveals how many executives are using AI in their dealerships, how many plan to adopt it in the coming year as well as how much the global AI market is projected to grow in the next few years.

This report, our third annual AI survey, also uncovers dealerships’ sentiments with the popular technology so far, along with:

  •  The top challenges they’ve faced since last year
  • AI’s impact on Fixed Ops
  • The most valuable AI features ranked by Sales and F&I leaders
  • Who at the dealership is the most familiar with AI
  • Who’s hesitant to try and trust it
  • Why industry experts should be building AI tools for dealerships

Finally, find out the next steps dealerships should take in the AI space to boost their bottom line and meet customer expectations.
