How Does CDK’s CRM Drive McGovern Automotive Group Success?

How Does C D K’s C R M Drive McGovern Automotive Group Success.

Based in New England, McGovern Auto Group has 31 dealerships and an impressive annual sales volume of approximately 40,000 vehicles, ranging from Hyundai to Ferrari. The group has created a remarkable environment for both employees and customers that blends a family-friendly atmosphere with corporate opportunities. And McGovern aims to make the car-buying process as seamless as possible, with a commitment to deliver a "wow" experience.

Since their inception, McGovern has relied on CDK’s CRM to run their business efficiently. According to Zak Casey, regional vice president of operations, the robust and evolving CRM system offers an intuitive interface for Sales, management and executives alike. It provides accurate customer reports and customizable traffic management tools tailored to their needs and buying cycles. This blend of simplicity and advanced technology allows McGovern to manage their entire database effectively, meeting all customer needs and staying responsive to their pace no matter how busy the day.

It’s a CRM that is stout, that is growing, that is accurate.

A key component of McGovern's success is the CDK Artificial Intelligence Virtual Assistant. AIVA’s ability to set appointments within a CRM has significantly increased showroom traffic, according to Casey. By providing immediate responses and scanning inventory even when the dealership is closed, AIVA ensures McGovern connects with customers at a higher rate. In just 90 days, AIVA set 67 appointments, resulting in 45 show-ups and 32 sales, boosting the group’s closing rate.

The integration of AI with human elements in their CRM has made McGovern’s marketing efforts more impactful as well. “When we take AI and add the human element we serve up a fast product for the customer,” Casey says.

Partnerships are crucial to McGovern's operations. The support, technology and simplicity provided by CDK allow them to run their business the way they envisioned. The streamlined processes, designed by automotive experts, work flawlessly for their needs, ensuring they remain engaged and efficient.

Casey puts it into perspective, “It’s simplicity at its best so it’s a win-win.”
