About Ron Frey
Frey is an automotive innovator, beginning his career in the automotive industry in 1985 when he identified a niche market founding a full service auto-buying service that grew into one of the nation's leading credit union auto-buying programs before selling to TrueCar in 2005 when he joined TrueCar as their COO/Partner.

In 2007, Frey took on the role as president of AutoNation Direct where he focused on developing and testing bold new initiatives in transactional sales outside the traditional store environment and was later promoted to chief strategy officer of AutoNation, Inc. AutoNation Direct was the company's incubator company for testing and validating capabilities that ultimately led to AutoNation Express, the parent company's fresh, industry-leading approach to digital sales connecting the digital experience to in-store operations that was launched in 2015. More recently, Frey has been providing consulting services to the automotive industry through his company, RL Frey.
