Our events have been a great success this year

On September 20th we held the Autoline Drive – Voice of the user event. We hosted this to give our Autoline Drive customers in the region the opportunity to voice their feedback and product requirements to help CDK build seamless end-to-end automotive experiences in the Middle East.

A total of 16 Autoline customers from the region were present on the day. The agenda included information on markets, insights and trends, CDK strategy, Middle East specific Autoline Drive developments and the Autoline Drive product roadmap. There were also a number of workshops held on various workflows, such as CRM, Campaign Manager, Vehicle Management, Mobile Aftersales Applications and Call Centre application.

The most popular session of the day was an interactive one-to-one conducted by International Product Marketing Director, Marcus Dacombe. Each customer was asked to answer three questions related to their businesses and then discuss them with their peers present in the room. This gave everyone the opportunity to highlight challenges their business face, what they're looking to change, how they would spend their budget better and what could they introduce to become more profitable. Overall, the session was very well received, with customers enjoying the opportunity to share their own thoughts and hear what others in the industry had to say.

Autoline Drive, as a SaaS solution, has monthly software updates, which are available to all its users as part of the SaaS offering. These updates include bug fixes as well as new features and functionality. All the release notes are available in the CDK service portal for any details and reference.

For its annual customer event this year, CDK wanted to shake things up a bit and take the opportunity to bring together automotive retailers and industry experts for a day of knowledge sharing, best practice discussions and networking. CDK Connect took place on October 17 at the Meydan Hotel, with a whole new look and feel and an exciting agenda.

The new concept proved to be a success, as the event received over one hundred registrations from existing CDK customers and partners and a total of 77 customers and partners from the region were present on the day.

The theme of the day was Digital Transformation, looking at automotive retailing in 2019 and beyond. The day involved knowledge sharing sessions from key speakers from Google, Facebook and AMENA Association, while trusted partners like Business Systems House and AMENA Association showcased their products & services. Attendees also experienced a virtual reality workshop and everyone took the opportunity to network, learn and benefit from the rapidly changing trends within the automotive industry.

CDK shared its strategy, product update and customer experience stories. Google presented changing online trends for GCC car buyers and AMENA shared their insights and trends in the automotive industry. Facebook explained how the power of social media can be harnessed to reach the target audiences for automotive buyers. The day ended with a panel discussing the future of car retailing, with participants from CDK, Facebook and AMENA.

The day was filled with one-on-one interactions, building connections, new experiences and learning. Guest speaker, Pierre de Feuardent from Google said, “Overall the event was good and had a great attendance, congrats!". Participants were very happy with the designed agenda and thoroughly enjoyed every segment of the day. While in a conversation with guest speaker Eleni Kitra, she thought the event was a ‘great concept, absolutely needed for our market to bring automotive professionals together.’
