A Focus on Corporate Responsibility

Corporate responsibility is fundamental to our culture and our goal of fostering an innovative, collaborative and high-energy work environment. We work every day to create an inclusive and socially reflective organization that empowers our employees and reflects our commitments and beliefs.

About Our Business Resource Groups

Business Resource Group (BRGs) are company-sponsored, employee-led networking groups. BRGs partner with management to promote an inclusive environment at all levels in the company.

More About Our Corporate Efforts

The CDK Minority Dealer Program

The Minority Dealer Program was established in 1999 to support our minority dealers (African American, Asian American, Native American and Hispanic). Our objective was to position CDK (then ADP Dealer Services) as the number one provider of dealer management solutions and services to the North American minority dealer. We have helped to grow our dealers’ businesses, protect them against losses, and enhance our image as a good business partner.

Over the last 15 years, we have supported the dealers, the dealer associations and the manufacturers (and their minority dealer development programs). In 2001, we expanded our support to include women dealers.

Today, we have 1,600+ minority dealers and 975+ women dealers. Of the Automotive News Top 150 Dealership Groups, 14 of them are minority dealers and seven of them are women owned (co-owned). CDK has the largest market share among the minority dealer community.

We are committed to understanding the unique business challenges facing minority and women dealers today and to providing CDK solutions and services that address the specific challenges of this market segment.

Supplier Diversity Program

At CDK, we aim to create jobs, opportunity and growth in diverse communities by including and supporting diverse businesses in our supply chain. Our Supplier Diversity Program is committed to purchasing from a supplier base representative of our employees, clients and communities where we operate. Through this commitment, we seek opportunities to provide qualified business owners a chance to succeed—which benefits our communities, and in turn, our business objectives. Our supplier diversity strategies are designed to promote and increase the inclusion of diverse suppliers in our supply chain.

Our Community Investment Efforts

At CDK, we are committed to dedicating our time and resources to supporting our employee community engagement efforts and to improving the communities where our employees live and work.

We strive to be a positive corporate citizen across the globe. We’ve built our community investment strategy around three pillars that articulate our values:

  • Education-based initiatives

  • Industry organizations

  • Local community causes

CDK understands the large role our employees play in making a difference in their communities. We enable and recognize the generosity of our employees by providing programs to support their philanthropic endeavors:

  • Board Placement Program - We support the passions and development of our young professionals by assisting with and funding their involvement in nonprofit boards.

  • Global Disaster Relief Programs - When disaster strikes, CDK and CDK employees come together to assist by supporting nonprofit and disaster relief organizations through volunteering, employee donations, and matching gift campaigns.

  • Matching Gift Program - For every donation that an employee makes, we’ll match it, 1:1.

  • Volunteer Paid Time Off - Our employees get eight hours of paid time off each year to volunteer for local charities.

CDK Global (India) CSR

Taking a cue from Mahatma Gandhi, we have aptly named CDK Global (India) CSR initiatives as “Be the Change”.

“Be the Change” portrays the deep symbiotic relationship we enjoy with the communities that we are associated with. Thus, as a responsible corporate citizen, CDK India contributes to selected social, philanthropic and environmental causes on a regular basis.

CDK India actively supports organizations working for the welfare of society. These organizations primarily fall under categories like health, environmental and civic amenities, primary education and disaster response. Our ultimate goal is to make the world a better place. We encourage our employees to participate in our year-round “Be the Change” initiatives to play an integral role in bringing the change we all want to see.

The board is comprised of:

  • Arvind Ramsewak Chaturvedi - Chairman
  • James Brooks Kinzer - Member

For fiscal year 2022-23, the CDK India CSR board has approved the following projects to support:

1. Cherish Foundation (Hyderabad, Telangana, India): Sponsoring the educational and nutritional needs of children

2. Snehalaya (Pune, Maharashtra, India): Sponsoring the nutritional and medical needs of children; also establishment of vocational training unit.

3. Mahavir International (Hyderabad, Telangana, India): Sponsoring the education and nutritional needs of the children; also upgrading of IT Lab for underprivileged children
